This engagement session for my cousin Joel and his fiancee, Addie was exactly what I needed for my first session back after over 4 months of not being able to work (thanks COVID). After brushing the dust off my camera I headed to PA to meet them at the family farm to take some of my favorite photos ever. It’s nice to have so much space and so many options to choose from, and I’m sure our grandma got a kick out of watching us from her kitchen.
I had already scouted for the locations I wanted to include, and top of my list was a field that had some leftover rye that was the prettiest color and it did turn out to be my favorite spot. We also made sure to include the meadow where Joel and Addie will be getting married in a couple of weeks. Like a lot of couples they were supposed to have a big party but have opted to postpone that to next year in favor of a small, socially distant wedding at the farm under a gorgeous, big tree.
Oh yeah, and the succulent I picked from a giant patch that grows by one of the barn walls… yeah, I totally took it home with me after using it for ring shots. It will look great in one of the windowsills at our new house!
Congrats you two! And welcome to the family, Addie!!
