Greetings from babyland! We’re just over here not sleeping so I figured I would take the opportunity to get a blog post out and show ya’ll that we’re still alive!

I posted a photo of our nursery on Insta last week after I got the finishing touches done. It has since gained an occupant and is not quite as organized as it was in these photos, but it’s still super cute and made cuter by its new tenant.

As with most creative projects I went a bit overboard with some of the aspects of this room, and may have had some unwarranted anxiety over them as well. Setting out on this venture I didn’t have a specific theme in mind but it kind of developed into a botanicals situation with elephant accents and I loveeeee it. It’s so relaxing. Put on the sound machine (We got the Hatch – Rest sound machine and I’m obsessed) and you could fall asleep on the floor for hours.

My favorite elements of the room would probably have to be the pieces of art we hung up, and how they all work so well together especially after being combined with some faux-eucalyptus wreaths (made from garland I found at Target in the Magnolia Home section). Also, I made the mobile that hangs above the rocker and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. It definitely was more work than I anticipated, and I could have just bought something similar from Etsy for less, but I really enjoyed the process of making it and I love the end result.
