You may recognize these two from last spring when they modeled for a styled shoot that was featured in Style Me Pretty (view it HERE!). It was fun to see them play wedding for that shoot and it must have inspired them because this fall they got MARRIED for real! And they did it in exactly the way they wanted to, by self-officiating their marriage just the two of them at the Lincoln Memorial where they first met. Fast forward a few months and we got together at The Kennedy Center to take portraits of them to commemorate their special occasion.

The Kennedy Center is such a gorgeous architectural feature for photos and worked so well for this session. It gives the clean marble look so many people love about the monuments on the National Mall, but often without the crowds and the need to compete for space with other photo shoots. For Carson and Jake’s shoot there were just a few people milling around, including one gal who had to take a minute to come over and fawn over the two of them and tell them how gorgeous they are. But really, looking at these photos can you blame her?
